In the 2-hour event, Jessica briefly explained the 3 main duties carried out by the manager of a race driver: PR, Marketing, and sponsorship seeking.

Our next Social Gathering will be held on August 1, 2007 (Wednesday). Please click here for more details.

2. Monthly Seminar

Our monthly seminar on "Building a Caring Workforce" was held on July 12, 2007 (Thursday) that was an incredible success especially because Mak Kwai-sing, Superintendent, Service Standards, Service Quality Wing (SP SS SQ) of the Hong Kong Police Force, shared with audience about how a disciplinary force could create more "challenges" and "opportunities" for their stakeholders through societal marketing. Recently, Hong Kong Police Force won the Total Caring Award issued by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service. Please click here for more details.

The presentation was wonderful and informative. Participants claimed 2 CPD hours under Category 10 for attending this seminar.

3. Higher Education Expo 2007

Higher Education Expo 2007 was organised by Job Market (a bi-lingual classified recruitment publication under Sing Tao News Corporation Limited) on July 21 and 22, 2007 (Saturday and Sunday). Samuel Cheng, the Co-opted Regional Board Member of CIM HK, was invited as one of the guest speakers at the seminar on July 22, 2007 (Sunday). Samuel shared his distinctive views on lifelong learning with audience.

4. CIM HK Fellow's Dinner

CIM HK is going to organise a dinner at the end of August. The speaker is Laurie Young, who is Fellow Member of CIM. He worked for Pricewaterhouse Coopers as U.K. Head of Marketing until he set up his own consultancy company. In 2003, Laurie, a Trustee of The Chartered Institute of Marketing at that time, delivered a very impressive talk on "Bringing Professional Services to Market" at a Fellow's Dinner in Hong Kong. Audience, not only came from Fellows and Members of the Institute, but practitioners from many professional services firms, such as legal, accountancy, financial, medical etc. They all found Laurie's talk very enlightening, informative and gave them thoughts to re-think about the objectives of their marketing department. It is a pleasure to have Laurie returning this time to Hong Kong to deliver a speech on "Throwing Money Away?" at our Fellow's Dinner which will be held on August 23, 2007 (Thursday) at Regal Hong Kong Hotel. Participants could claim 1 CPD hours under Category 10 for attending this event. For more details, please click here.
