Message from Mr. Chan:
In order to enhance a company's competitive edge, marketers
should understand how to satisfy both external and internal
customers.
While companies focus thousands of dollars on external customer
service, little attention was paid to the internal customer
service.
External Customer : Clients, Suppliers, Wholesalers
Key points to deal with External Customers
- A good marketer should also be a good listener
- To understand customers' specific needs in order to meet
their requirements
- To establish trust with external customer for company's
long-term growth and expansion
Internal Customer : Anyone in the organisation - staff
Key points to deal with Internal Customers
- Good internal customer service started with good morale
- Employee satisfaction and customer loyalty were tightly
linked
- Communication with staff were essential
- Make sure internal customers understood their contributions
to the company's business competitiveness
