CIM Marketing Symposium 2007

Market Leaders' Strategies
The 5th CIM Marketing Symposium was successfully held on
Saturday March 17, 2007 at Wei Hing Theatre, City University
of Hong Kong (CityU). Six prominent speakers were invited
to share their experiences with audience on how they sustained
their market leaders' positions in their industries. This
6-hour event attracted 750 participants. Nearly half of them
are marketing students from various universities, while the
others are Chartered Marketers, our CIM members and marketing
professionals.
Enthusiastic support was received from the Hong Kong Regional
Board. Mr. Cheong Shin Keong, Chairman, was invited to deliver
the Opening Remarks and to present souvenirs to speakers and
sponsors in the morning session. Professor Enoch Young, Vice-President,
gave a short welcoming speech and presented souvenirs to speakers
and sponsors in the afternoon session.

The theme of this year's Symposium was "Market Leaders'
Strategies" and the six prominent speakers were:

All presentations were very inspiring. The audience participated
in a lively Q&A Session conducted by the facilitators,
Mr. Stephen Wong (Programme Director, Division of Management
Studies, HKU School of Professional and Continuing Education,
The University of Hong Kong) and Mr. Adrian Chan (Marketing
Consultant and Lecturer, School of Professional Education
and Executive Development, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University)
for the morning session and afternoon session respectively.
On behalf of the Institute, Mr. Herrick Wong, our Vice Chairman,
delivered the Vote of Thanks to the nine sponsors, six speakers
and volunteer helpers from CityU and Hong Kong Community College
of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
