Institute Hong Kong (PMI) and Mr. Terence Wong of The Chartered Institute of Marketing
Hong Kong (CIM HK) on Wednesday, August 16, 2006 when both speakers remained focused
on the topic - How to manage marketing event projects? Mr. Edmond Sung introduced
the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) to the audience that should be
an inclusive term describing the sum of knowledge within the profession of project
management. He emphasized that Project Management was the discipline of organizing
and managing resources in such a way that these resources delivered all the work
required to complete a project within defined Scope, Time and Cost constraints.
He added that the subset of principles and practices within the PMBOK were generally
accepted and applicable to most projects including the Event Marketing Projects. Mr.
Terence Wong elaborated on how the PMBOK principles could be satisfactorily applicable
to the marketing event projects. Along the way, he illustrated some "best practices"
for marketing campaigns using the Project Life Cycle that proved valuable. The
seminar drew a full house of 60 people whose feedback was very positive. Both
speakers could address the audience's needs beautifully mainly because most participants
said that the content of the seminar was exactly what they were looking for. <BACK> |
