Approximately 60 members and guests packed the venue at the CIM HK March Social Gathering, as the speaker, Mr. Albert Cheung of the Hong Kong Holistic Center, delivered his insights into the application of The Art of War in today's increasingly competitive marketing environment.

The Art of War was written by Sun Tzu over 2,500 years ago as a collection of essential winning strategies, and was originally intended for the battlefield.

During his informative and engaging presentation, Mr. Cheung (who is affectionately known as "Master Albert") gave a brief overview of the 13 chapters of The Art of War in a manner that is easy for the audience to understand. Following this introduction, he argued that for marketing executives, the market itself is the battlefield.

Master Albert also analysed the main clauses of The Art of Warm and introduced to the captive audience:
> the application of Sun Tzu's main chapters for today's highly competitive marketing environment;
> the relevance of The Art of War in driving the successful implementation of marketing plans and attainment of personal goals; and
> how the use of The Art of War helps marketing managers choose the right strategies to drive business success

A number of practical examples of the application of The Art of War in today's marketing strategies were also discussed at the Social Gathering.

The Art of War "Wisdom Capsule" (Chinese only) was distributed to the audience after the presentation. This document can be downloaded by clicking here.

Master Albert is also the author and creator of "Strategy and Tactics (Card and Book Set)" - a guide book based on The Art of War and The 36 Strategies. This set can be used as everyday tool to solve problems through the application of strategy and tactics.
