The rapid development of Information Technology has value-added many industries in ways only bounded by imagination. To the field of Marketing, the use of IT has created an immense opportunity to conduct Marketing activities conveniently over the network – a concept widely known as Digital Marketing.
However, Digital Marketing has not been as widely practiced as its potential deserves. While some marketers are not familiar with the concept or intimidated by the technology know-how; those who have enough exposures to IT have doubts about the effectiveness of digital marketing and are unsure on how to maximize results of a digital marketing campaign. In fact, many IT applications, especially mobile and wireless solutions, can deliver highly effective digital marketing solution ubiquitously, at the right time, to the right person.
In light of this, The Chartered Institute of Marketing, Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Wireless Technology Industry Association are jointly organising the Digital Marketing Conference to educate Marketing professionals on the issue.
