CPD Update - Q&A

Q1) How could I retain my Chartered Marketer status?

To remain your Chartered Marketer status on the Register and continue to use the designation, you must complete a minimum of 35 hours CPD (Continuing Professional Development) during 1st July and 30th June and for each year thereafter.

Q2) Do I need to submit my CPD Record Card to CIM, UK every year?

If you are already a Chartered Marketer, you are required to continue doing your CPD, fill in your CPD Record Card and keep it yourself. You ARE NOT required to submit your CPD Record Card and relevant evidence to CIM unless you are requested.

Q3) What is 10% random survey? When?

During each year, 10% of existing Chartered Marketers will be chosen at random and asked to submit their Continuing Professional Development record card and to produce evidence of their right to remain on the register. The audit takes place at the end of May or beginning of June. If, as an existing Chartered Marketer, you have not received a submission request from us by the end of June, it is very unlikely that you have been selected in the audit.

Q4) When will I receive my Chartered Marketer certificate?

The whole batch of certificates will be sent to the Hong Kong office around August or early September. Please contact the Hong Kong office (Tel: 2868 1110) for the collection details.

CIM Hong Kong will hold a Chartered Marketers Night ceremony presenting certificates every year. For further details, please log-in our website or call 2868 1110 for details in September.

Q5) Who should I contact if I haven't received my certificate?

If you fail to receive recognition of acceptance onto Chartered Marketer, or do not receive your certificate etc., please contact 2868 1110 for assistance.
