Qualifications and Professional Recognition
On becoming a student member of CIM you are provided with the opportunity to submit an entry to CIM's professional examinations. The CIM is the largest professional body for marketing practitioners worldwide and with our stringent entry criteria we ensure that membership of the CIM is an acknowledgement of your professional competence and status.
Professional Certificate and Professional Diploma holders
Once you have successfully completed your CIM Professional Certificate you will automatically be upgraded to Licentiate grade. Professional Diploma holders with at least one year's experience in marketing resource management maybe eligible for Associate grade, on submission of CV/resume.
Professional Postgraduate Diploma holders
On successful completion of your Professional Postgraduate Diploma examinations you will automatically be upgraded to Graduate member, but may be eligible for Associate Member (ACIM) or Member (MCIM) grade, subject to your marketing resource management experience (one and three years respectively), submission of CV/resume is required for verification of such experience. ACIM and MCIM are recognised designatory letters that can be used after your name to signify your professional standing.
Diploma holding members of CIM are also eligible to use the designation of DipM.

Marketing Success
Complimentary copies of Marketing Success - a quarterly newsletter/data sheets. Designed to assist students with their studies, Marketing Success looks at key marketing skills and techniques and is an important source of background reading for all students sitting CIM examinations.
The Marketer
10 free issues of Marketing Business are sent to all members per year. This qualify publication provides valuable information about the new technologies and marketing techniques that are being faced by today's marketers. Marketing Business also examines how new legislation and theories will affect the decisions that create tomorrow's world. This is an ideal publication for students to read in order to gain the relevant and current information which will prove to the examiners that your knowledge extends beyond text books.
The Marketing Series
It is important to the success of any candidate to take the time to gain an indepth knowledge of the subjects within each syllabus. It is expected that candidates will spend approximately 45 hours reading around the syllabus for each module.
It is for this reason that the CIM have developed 'The Marketing
Series', which is a range of publications that have been produced
in association Butterworth Heinemann. The series include textbooks
and workbooks for the CIM qualifications. Many of the authors
are examiners of the syllabus and as such provide a vital
insight into their expectations of candidates.

Past Question Papers and Specimen Answers
'Practice makes perfect', the best way to understand exactly what the examiners are expecting is to examine what their past expectations have been. Past question papers and specimen answer booklets are also available via CIM Direct.

A valuable marketing information source. Based at Moor Hall, the library contains over 8,000 books, together with a collection of marketing/general management journals, directories, market research reports and statistics.

CIM Direct is a mail order publications service which offers students the opportunity to purchase a wide range of books and study texts from the essential and recommended reading lists for the CIM Professional Certificates, Professional Diploma, Professional Postgraduate Diploma courses.
